The One Who Couldn't Say The
The One Who Couldn't Say The

"
When Rome falls, the world will fall"

A few thousand years later and we're still going strong, just goes to show , the Romans were some pompous egotistical pricks. My first blog post and i start with critisizing the romans, yes i do have many issues. For example im too judgemental, too sarcastic and i waste money unnecessarily but my 6 therapists are telling me im improving on that last one.

Anyway, what i've just found out is that i had another issue all along, an issue that 73% of the public have. I just cant pronounce "The" . I know what you're thinking "Abdul Zameer Husref! Best Pubulic Speaker in the East Zone (prize presentation on 5th Aug 2008,TKGS) can't say THE we must all be doomed!!!" Okay, fine maybe you would'nt be thinking that exactly, but you get my point.

It is true though, when i was training for the competition, my TIC-Ms Fox, pointed out that i could not pronounce "th". I say "Da" not "The" and apparently so do 73 % of the public.

My immediate reply was "Well i dont need to say The! Or anything starting with TH!I don't need you! I don't need any of you!Im gonna make it on my own!!!!"

This is how my introduction of my speach went without the "Th"s

"I onced watched a sitcom where an english teacher was teaching a class of foreign students,He en asked one of e indian students to describe his wife to e class, e man replied in a ick indian accent 'she is lookeing like an elephant from e front,e is looking like an elephant from e back"

Apparently i did need th, hmm. So after many hours of apologizing for my tantrum, practicing, rolling my tounge, adjusting my diagphram when i speak and assination of little green men(Oh wait the last one is what i did to get rid of my hiccups ,you can ignore that) i finally mastered THe art of it. (:I)

So the next time you're infront of a mirror try saying THE not DA and make sure you pronounce it right.
Unlike this dude>
